What you read in the poem was once a wish for me.
I am fortunate to have made it back from a foreign war.
Many of my Brothers in Arms made the ultimate sacrifice.
I wish that people would not take life for granted but would appreciate what they have before it’s taken away.
I’m happy to have served my country.
I remember the words “It’s not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country.”
God bless America.
